Pinion Tech LLC ("Pinion," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at usepinion.com (the "Site") and provides the Pinion suite of revenue-operations software for Salesforce (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version
Pinion is built to keep data where it belongs. The Pinion software runs entirely inside your own Salesforce organization — we do not access, receive, store, or transmit the CRM data you manage with it. The information this policy is mostly about is the limited data we collect when you visit our Site or get in touch with us.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Launch and product updates. If you submit your email address through a "notify me" or sign-up form, we collect that email address so we can tell you about availability and product news.
- Contact requests. If you contact us through a form or by email, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, company, and the contents of your message.
- Billing information. If you purchase the Service, payment is handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive limited transaction details (such as your name, email, and confirmation of payment) but we do not collect or store full payment-card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data your browser sends when you visit the Site — such as IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and timestamps — collected through standard server logs and any analytics we use.
- Cookies or similar technologies used to operate the Site and understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
The Pinion software and your Salesforce data
The Pinion managed package installs and runs inside your Salesforce org. The configuration, pricing, quoting, and contract data you create with Pinion stays within your Salesforce environment, under your control. Pinion has no third-party services in the data path: it does not "phone home," send telemetry, or sync your records to any Pinion-operated cloud. License validation happens locally inside your org against a public key shipped with the package, without contacting our servers.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide support.
- To send the updates you asked for and, where permitted, occasional product news (you can opt out anytime).
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and Service.
- To process payments and manage your subscription and license keys.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with:
- Service providers who help us operate — such as our form/email provider, our payment processor (Stripe), and our hosting and infrastructure providers (for example, Cloudflare) — who process information on our behalf.
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers, if Pinion is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can ask us to delete information we hold about you (see "Your choices and rights").
Your choices and rights
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA — including rights to access, port, or delete your data and to object to certain processing. We honor these rights regardless of location.

Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International users
We are based in the United States and process information there. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed in the U.S.
Children's privacy
The Site and Service are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes may be highlighted on the Site.
