Pinion CPQ

A real CPQ. Native to Salesforce.

Pinion CPQ is a configure-price-quote application built natively on Salesforce — a managed package that gives revenue teams configuration, a transparent pricing waterfall, and the full contract lifecycle, running entirely inside your org. It installs in minutes, not a multi-quarter rollout, and scales from lean revenue teams to the enterprise — without a third-party cloud ever touching your data.

30-minute install. No sales call.

Buy with a credit card. Get your activation key by email. Install the managed package and quote a real opportunity — same day. No AE, no provisioning, no 3-month onboarding.

Verified offline. Your data stays put.

Activation keys are JWTs verified locally inside your org. Pinion never phones home, never syncs to a vendor cloud, and has no third-party services in the data path.

Pricing waterfall on every line.

Block price, contracted price, discount schedule, special price, uplift — the QLE walks every line through the waterfall so you can see exactly how it got to the final price. Audit any quote in seconds. Defend any discount.

Everything CPQ should have — nothing it shouldn't.

Six capabilities. No AI theater, no third-party services in the data path.

Configuration

A configurator your reps will reach for.

Real bundles, real options, real attributes — no spreadsheets on the side.

  • Bundles with three pricing models — Standard, Roll-Up, Itemized
  • Configuration attributes with editable per-combination unit price
  • Dynamic product grouping by any picklist field on Product2
  • Personal + global favorites surfaced in the picker
  • Saved configurations to replay a selection state

Rules engine

Validate the impossible. Suggest the smart.

Stop bad quotes before they go out. Nudge reps toward the right add-ons.

  • Validation, Selection, and Alert rules
  • Pricing rules with required / optional enforcement
  • Custom logic expressions for conditions and actions

Pricing waterfall

Six layers of pricing. All visible.

A transparent waterfall the QLE walks through for every line — auditable, explainable, defensible.

  • Block pricing per product per pricebook
  • Contracted pricing per (Account, Product, Pricebook, asOfDate)
  • Discount schedules — Slab or Range, Line / Group / Quote scope
  • Multi-Dimensional Quoting with per-segment uplift
  • QLE explains every line price layer by layer — block, contracted, schedule, special, uplift

Contract lifecycle

Close-won is the start, not the finish line.

When the deal closes, Pinion takes it from there — contracts, subscriptions, amendments, renewals.

  • Contracts, Subscriptions, and Assets created automatically on close-won
  • Contracts expire automatically via daily batch
  • Amendment mode with Add / Remove / Modify tracking
  • Renewal opportunities created the moment the originating deal closes
  • Early renewal and contract extension as quick actions
  • Twin-field auto-discovery across the full lifecycle — Quote ↔ Opportunity, Opportunity → Contract, Opportunity Product → Subscription / Asset

Quote templates

Quotes that look like your brand.

A drag-and-drop template builder for the documents your customers actually read.

  • Layout, header, footer, terms HTML — fully editable
  • Merge fields with conditional sections
  • PDF rendering via Visualforce
  • Generated quote storage with the PDF attached

Admin & licensing

Set up once. Run forever.

Configurable per-org. Licensed by activation key, verified locally — never calls home.

  • Per-org configurator settings — target object, grouping, branding
  • Activation-key model — JWT signed RS256, verified offline
  • Tier upgrade without re-install

From first config to automatic renewal.

One platform across the full quote-to-cash motion — no handoffs, no syncs.

Why teams actually switch.

Three different people sign off on a CPQ purchase. Pinion has something for each of them.

For RevOps

Pricing you can audit. Discounts you can govern.

  • Six pricing layers, every one explained in the QLE waterfall — never wonder why a quote landed where it did.
  • Account-default discount schedules override product defaults — central governance, no exceptions.
  • Multi-Dimensional Quoting with per-segment uplifts and One-Time setup fees baked in.
For Salesforce admins

Less config. Less mapping. More sleep.

  • Twin-field auto-discovery flows custom fields across the whole lifecycle: Quote → Opportunity → Contract → Subscription/Asset. Zero manual mapping at any hop.
  • Object-agnostic — works on whatever your team already uses, Opportunity or Quote.
  • All metadata is queryable via SOQL — no parallel catalog, no vendor admin UI to learn.
For security & IT

Nothing to whitelist. Nothing to monitor.

  • License verification happens locally against a public key shipped with the package — no external calls.
  • Customer data never leaves the Salesforce trust boundary — compliance teams love this one.
  • Standard Salesforce audit logs cover every action — no separate vendor logging to ingest.

Questions buyers actually ask.

Does Pinion replace Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick / Revenue Cloud)?
For most use cases, yes — Pinion is a complete configurator, pricing engine, and contract lifecycle. Some teams run Pinion alongside Revenue Cloud during a migration; we have a path for both.
Will it work with my existing pricebooks and products?
Yes. Pinion uses the standard Salesforce Product2 / Pricebook2 / PricebookEntry model. There's no parallel catalog to maintain.
What happens if my license lapses?
Read access to existing data is always preserved. New configuration and pricing actions are blocked until the license is renewed. Your data never goes anywhere — it stays in your org.
How long does install take?
About 30 minutes. Install the managed package, paste your activation key (we'll send it after Stripe checkout), and you're live. No middleware to provision.
Can I migrate from Salesforce CPQ or Conga?
Migration tooling is on the roadmap. Today we'll work with you 1:1 on a migration plan — Pinion+ customers get a dedicated CSM for this.
Does Pinion send any data outside my Salesforce org?
No. License verification happens locally inside your org against a public key shipped with the package. There are no callbacks, no telemetry, and no third-party services in the data path.

Try Pinion in your own org.
